Vehicle valuations tailored to your appraisal needs.
Accurate appraisals of Fair Market Value, Diminished Value & Total Loss, and Specialty Vehicles.
Appraisal Process Overview
-
The appraisal process begins when the client submits an appraisal request and provides the required vehicle information and intended purpose. Vehicle Valuation Authority (“VVA”) confirms the appropriate appraisal type and scope based on the information provided.
-
Clients submit photographs, videos, and relevant documentation required for a remote appraisal. Clear and complete submissions help ensure accuracy and avoid delays.
-
VVA conducts remote assessment by reviewing submitted materials to assess the vehicle’s condition, configuration, and characteristics as of the submission date. Additional information may be requested if needed.
-
VVA conducts market research using appropriate data sources, including current listings, historical sales data, auction results, dealer data, and other relevant market evidence. Comparable vehicles are evaluated and adjusted as necessary.
-
Using the applicable valuation methodology, VVA develops a value conclusion consistent with the appraisal type, market evidence, proprietary formulas, and professional judgement.
-
A written appraisal report is prepared summarizing vehicle details, scope of work, market evidence considered, valuation methodology applied, and the final value conclusion.
-
Most appraisals are completed within 3-5 business days from the date all required information, photographs, videos, and documentation are submitted by the client.
-
Payment is required prior to the commencement of appraisal work. The completed appraisal report will not be released to the client until payment has been received and cleared.
Fair Market Value Appraisal
A professional, independent opinion of a vehicle’s current market value, based on sales data and expert analysis - not automated pricing tools. Ideal for buying, selling, insuring, insurance value disputes, estates, divorces, or financial decision-making. Fair Market Value Appraisals consider vehicle condition, mileage, market trends, and relevant history. Delivered in a clear, written report for third-party review.
This appraisal is for passenger vehicles (sedans, coupes, SUVs, vans, convertibles, etc.), trucks (pickups and non-CDL trucks), and motorcycles.
Specialty Vehicle Appraisal
Vehicles requiring expert judgment due to rarity, customization, restoration, or limited comparables.
This appraisal is for classic and collector’s vehicles (classic, antique, collector grade, etc.), modified and custom vehicles, high value and exotic vehicles, recreational vehicles (RVs, travel trailers, ATVs, UTVs, etc.), trailers (utility, cargo, equipment, flatbeds, enclosed, etc.), and watercraft (boats, jet skis, yachts, etc.).
Diminished Value & Total Loss Appraisal
Your vehicle was repaired, but its value was not. Even after high-quality repairs, a vehicle that’s been in an accident or damaged typically loses market value. A diminished value appraisal quantifies that loss using market data, damage severity, vehicle history, and professional valuation methodology.
Our appraisal reports are designed to be clear, defensible, and insurance-ready. Each report explains how the diminished value was calculated and provides the supporting rationale needed to pursue fair compensation from an insurance carrier. This service is ideal for vehicle owners seeking to recover lost value for all vehicle types that have been involved in an accident or otherwise damaged.
*If your vehicle falls into a gray area, Vehicle Valuation Authority will review the details and confirm the appropriate appraisal type prior to engagement.
